In 1995, I was born into a loving middle-class, Christian family with caring hearts - a core foundation everyone should be a part of. Being the smallest guy in the room, I always felt I needed to prove myself because of all the doubters. I hated it but later in life embraced it, using it as fuel to become my greatest version. I did well in school averaging a 3.1 GPA while breaking a few records in Cross Country and Track & Field.  I felt this would set me up well for college but when the time came for me to graduate, I was only offered a partial scholarship. After high school, I chose to go into the United States Navy. Serving 5-years as an Aviation Machinist Mate (AD2) with the "Vipers" stationed in Florida. Just before my separation I experienced what was known as "The Dark Night of the Soul" and that storm hit hard. Once I got closer to the Holy GOD within, it all changed. I applied for a Mech III instructor position with DynCorp International on the same naval base, working with the RSNF as our students. Once I learned their culture and their practices, I began praying 3-5 times a day while also intermittent fasting and meditating. It was great and they even said I could be selected to work with them in Saudi Arabia, home to places like Dubai and Bahrain. I was more than ecstatic but something was missing and that was my family in California and a deeper connection to GOD. I never really had much of a social life as I was more goal-oriented, always focusing on my life's mission. It's funny how that works because you don't find it, it finds you. It always seems to pop up just after you were on your last leg and thought about giving up. Now I'm back home in the San Francisco Bay Area and life feels unreal at times. I truly believe that this is where I belong...
